...and I was just wondering if anyone else does there sewing with a two year old in their lap. If he's not in my lap he is climbing on my back, rubbing my arm, or putting his toys all over me and trying his best to get his little hands as close to my machine as possible to see at exactly what point I will redirect him. There have been a few days lately that he has happily played by himself in his room and around the house while I had the freedom to get a few things done! Then I took him to the nursery this past Wednesday (which was a new thing for him)and he cried the entire time, sobbing, runny nose, heaving cries. It was pitiful. He has finally gotten to the point where he actually enjoys his Sunday nursery class and the amazing ladies who care for him in there. It took about 7 weeks of crying but now he just goes right on in, Oh sweet relief ( I can really enjoys the service and not have that little worry about him in the back of my mind). Well, then we thought that we would love to start attending on Wednesday nights and that this past week would be a great week to start since 89 people were getting baptized! That's right 89! isn't that AMAZING ( amazed actually happens to be the name of the series our church has been preaching on right now, pretty fitting i think!)Back to my original point which is that my child seems to have reverted to his clinginess and I am thinking it has a little bit to do with my having left him in a the Wednesday nursery. Oh well, I guess I will be happy with the Sunday nursery for now and hope that he will gain back that little bit of independence he was (we were) enjoying! For now I will remind myself that there will come a day when I will so badly want him to sit in my lap, play toys with me or just stay right under my feet in general. There will be a day that I will wish he would peep his head into the shower every five minutes to "check" on me and continuously open the shower curtain getting water all over the floor and letting the heat out (hmmmmm on second thought maybe I wont miss the whole shower thing). I guess my thought is to make the most of this underfoot child that I have because he will quickly outgrow it.
